Controlling Somfy SDN Blinds with an Omni-Bus Switch

Using an Omni-Bus 3 gang (UP, DOWN, STOP):

The Mode for each button is programmed in Omni-Bus as “ON/OFF”. Each button is assigned as address (for this example Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3).

Programming in Omni controller:

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

WHEN UNIT 1 OFF

                        THEN SHADE UP

WHEN UNIT 2 ON

WHEN UNIT 2 OFF

                        THEN SHADE STOP

WHEN UNIT 3 ON

WHEN UNIT 3 OFF

                        THEN SHADE DOWN

Using a single gang Omni-Bus switch (UP, DOWN, STOP from the one switch):

The Mode for the button in Omni-Bus as “ON”. Assign it an address (for this example Unit 1). We will also use a 2 flags for this application:

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

THEN FLAG 2 ON FOR 1 SECOND

WHEN FLAG 2 OFF

                        THEN UNIT 1 OFF

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 0

                        THEN SHADE UP

THEN SET FLAG 1 TO 4

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 3

                        THEN SHADE STOP

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 2

                        THEN SHADE DOWN

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 1

                        THEN SHADE STOP

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

                        THEN DECREMENT FLAG 1

Using a 6-Channel Switch Interface connected to 3 buttons (UP, DOWN, STOP):

The Mode for each button is programmed in Omni-Bus as “PRESSED-ON/RELEASED-OFF”. Each button is assigned as address (for this example Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3).

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

                        THEN SHADE UP

WHEN UNIT 2 ON

                        THEN SHADE STOP

WHEN UNIT 3 ON

                        THEN SHADE DOWN

Using a 6-Channel Switch Interface connected to 1 button (UP, DOWN, STOP from the one switch):

The Mode for THE button is programmed in Omni-Bus as “PRESSED-ON/RELEASED-OFF”. Assign it an address (for this example Unit 1). We will also use 1 flag for this application:

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 0

                        THEN SHADE UP

THEN SET FLAG 1 TO 4

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 3

                        THEN SHADE STOP

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 2

                        THEN SHADE DOWN

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

AND IF FLAG 1 CURRENT VALUE IS 1

                        THEN SHADE STOP

WHEN UNIT 1 ON

                        THEN DECREMENT FLAG 1
