Occasionally, a customer will call about a bad zone on the controller. Through troubleshooting, it is determined that the zone is, in fact, bad. It is recommended that the controller be sent in for repair. The customer can disable the zone from the system to keep it from reporting "Auxiliary Zone Trouble Now" message on the console.
- Confirm that the "Zone Type" for the zone in question is set to auxiliary (64).
- Strap a 1K resistor across the zone contacts.
- Connect a jumper wire from the zone positive (+) to the earth ground.
